Position Description:
We are seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join Northern Area Technical Support Department (NATSD).

NATSD is considered the technical arm of the Northern Area Oil Operation (NAOO). It provides multi- discipline specialized engineering and inspection support to 8 oil and gas producing departments spread though out the country’s northern Hydrocarbon fields.

Minimum Requirements:
As a successful candidate you should hold a Bachelor degree in engineering.

Minimum of 9 years’ of professional engineering experience effectively performing similar roles and responsibilities, preferably in oil and gas industry or similar process industry.

Must have enough experience to be clearly recognized as being capable of solving technical problems of process & control systems engineering in oil and gas operation.

Must have a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, international codes, standards and specifications.

Must have understanding and ability to interpret and analyze different types of engineering documents and data.

Must possess strong analytical abilities and project management skills.

Knowledge base of the latest developments in oil and gas process engineering technology through work experience, conferences, seminars and professional journals.

It’s advantageous to have experience with PLC programming.

Duties & Responsibilities:
You are expected to be able to perform the following:

Perform complex functions with a variety of software and systems, including industrial machines and protocols, building custom hardware and applying machine learning, image processing, and real-time data processing using distributed systems.

Develop next-gen industrial control systems platforms and automation solutions.

Develop of custom communications protocols, PLC optimization, fieldbus architecture design, diagnostics development and mechatronic equipment design.

Work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team, and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution and test.

Design and develop solutions involving robotics, data management and precision conveyance.
