Position Description:
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Field Rotating Equipment Engineer to join the Northern Area Technical Support Department (NATSD), under the Northern Area Oil Operations (NAOO).

NATSD provides engineering support for the Northern Area Oil Operations with specialized engineering and technical knowledge in the areas of varied disciplines to maximize profitability and meeting highest standards of safety and environment.

Minimum Requirements:
As a successful candidate you should hold a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.

A minimum of 9 years’ experience with advance knowledge in rotating equipment engineering, obtainable usually through a combination of experience and continuing education.

You should have intensive experience in the area of hydrocarbon process engineering.

You should have experience with different types of rotating equipment such as pumps and compressors as well as turbo-machinery for energy drives and power generation.

You should have knowledge and understanding of rotating equipment and Heir system performance/hydraulic calculations.

You should have knowledge and experience in rotating equipment, their components, and auxiliary systems construction and design along with their functions: (Pumps, Compressors, Gas Turbines, Stream Turbine, Gears and Gearboxes, Bearings, Seals and Mechanical Seals).

You should have understanding and ability to interpret and analyze different types of engineering documents, data, engineering technical drawing, and drawing associated with machine such as curves.

You should have knowledge and experience in condition monitoring system and be familiar with vibration protection and lubrication systems.

You should be experienced with sufficient knowledge regarding installation of rotating equipment and its related issues such as alignment, and leveling.

You should be familiar with international codes and standards.

You should possess strong analytical abilities and project execution skills.

Duties & Responsibilities:
You are expected to be able to perform the following:

Provide technical advices for operations and maintenance on condition of machines and repair methods (workshop and Field).

Review Bad Actor list (rotating equipment), analyze the problems/issues and provide recommendations.

Conduct troubleshooting for any rotating equipment.

Participate in construction, installation, commissioning, and start-up of rotating equipment ensuring quality of work.

Participate in Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) for newly install rotating equipment.

Conduct performance test of rotating equipment.

Participate in HAZOP study related to rotating equipment.
