We are seeking a Mechanical/Maintenance Engineer to work under the Northern Area Gas Producing Department (NAGPD).
The core function of the Engineer covers offshore structures, equipment and component maintenance strategy selection, equipment maintenance types, cost analysis and life cycle analysis to ensure reliability of maintenance. Also, provide maintenance engineering support to offshore and onshore teams.
The successful candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
It is advantageous to have a valid license as provisional engineer or equivalent in engineering.
You must have a minimum of 8 years hands-on field experience, preferably in the oil & gas or petrochemical as maintenance and reliability engineer.
You must possess a strong analytical and technical machinery or maintenance engineering experience to analyze failure of equipment problems and assess repair in a short time.
You should be able to propose recommendations for further engineering review should modification is needed.
You should be able to conduct a performance test to assess the efficiency of the new repair or installations.
You should be able to utilize a well-known computerized maintenance management system.
You must have a thorough knowledge of maintenance engineering practices such as Total Plant Reliability and Asset Integrity Managements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You are expected to be able to perform the following:
Provide Maintenance engineering support and guidance to offshore and onshore maintenance teams at Karan, ARBI and Hasbah offshore gas fields for major maintenance issues.
Create standard job plans for major repair.
Lead equipment maintenance repair by making in-depth analyses of problems to find out the root cause of failure and prevent re-occurrence.
Review and comment on design packages for new facilities, modifications and upgrade to ensure new systems are maintainable.
Lead the construction of facilities upgrade, equipment or systems as the project engineer.
Create/review equipment maintenance strategies and improve existing based on maintenance best practices.
Mentor young or inexperienced engineers.
