We are seeking a Supplier Development Professional to join the Sourcing & Business Development Division of Industrial Dev & Strategic Supply Department
The Sourcing & Business Development Division is responsible for designing, developing and managing the market demand assessments and respective tools. The Division develops the overall In Kingdom Total Value Added strategy, methodology, policies, principles and processes, and supporting systems. Also, Sourcing & Business Development Division will execute appropriate business development processes and instruments to drive Localization of goods and services
You would have demonstrated experience in local supplier development, such as plant production engineers. Typically, your role will focus on the development and qualification of local suppliers for large industrial companies in oil and gas, automotive, aerospace…etc. You typically also have good communication and project management skills, the ability to work with people as well as business acumen (finance/economics). These positions are not typically supply chain management experts, but may have some procurement experience.
As a successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Financial acumen from a recognized and approved program.
You will have five to ten years’ experience in original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or Tier 1 supplier responsible for parts quality and supplier improvement activities. In addition:
Took part in international project teams and developed local suppliers of multinational OEMs
Led cross functional teams through the development process of local suppliers
Carried out Manufacturing Site Assessments
Experience in a wide variety of manufacturing processes
Supply chain interface
Led quality/process improvement initiatives with suppliers
Managed the transfer of off tools, process, and technology to new suppliers
Developed and maintained project management reporting tools to track progress
Measured supplier performance, and worked directly with suppliers to help them achieve performance goals
Ensured that corrective and preventive actions plans are developed and executed at assigned suppliers in compliances with the OEM standards
Previous experience in in an Oil and Gas, Automotive, Aerospace...etc. industry manufacturing environment
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
Screen complex business proposals using pre-defined filtering criteria.
Research relevant intelligence to back up screening results.
Estimate effort and resources required for pursuing pre-feasibility/Concept Paper development of qualified proposals.
Support pre-feasibility and feasibility studies to establish technical, financial and marketing viability of new ventures.
Write Concept Papers that establish a high-level case for further developing complex business ventures.
Estimate effort and resources required for conducting feasibility studies and business planning of approved Concepts.
Synthesize complex information from feasibility studies to serve as inputs to business plans.
Deliver a business plan.
Provide functional expertise to design the capabilities required by the new venture to succeed, e.g. product development, sales and marketing, logistics, customer care.
Formulate economic/financial models for complex business proposals.
Present results of Concept Paper and/or business plans to management as directed by the Supervisor.
Support development of business offerings packages to potential investors.
Screen potential investors.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed.
