We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to join the IT Strategy & Architecture Planning Division of Saudi Aramco.
The IT Strategy & Architecture Planning Division is responsible for providing IT strategic directions, technology roadmaps, investment strategies, service models, and solutions architectures covering all IT disciplines such as Computing, Communication, Application, and Information Protection.
The Senior Enterprise Architect primary role is to [develop strategic IT roadmaps, define applications and technology architecture required to deliver and enable core business capabilities; optimizing short- and long-term architecture plans, identifying new IT capabilities that leverage the installed base technologies and solutions, and developing plans and programs to introduce new IT services ensuring alignment with business demands and company digital transformation initiatives.
As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Communication Engineering, or Software Engineering from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred.
You will have a minimum of fifteen years of experience in Systems analysis, programming, computing hardware, cloud computing architecture, mobile software implementation, and information protection, including at least 10 in designing IT solution architecture, performing quality assurance, analyzing investments strategies, developing IT services costing structure and TCOs, designing IT integration platforms.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
Provides advice, guidance and support during the preliminary and start-up phases of new major systems; maintains schedules for major equipment or program installations, upgrades or conversions; coordinates details with all SAO related entities and vendors; reviews proposals with respect to cross-company applications, infrastructures.
Analyzes special assignments pertaining to recurring applications or operations problems; proposes scope and course of action; recommends the use of tasks forces, if required; makes suggestions to Management; follows through to a satisfactory conclusion.
Reviews existing operations within his area of assignment to determine potential problems; performs cost analyses and performance surveys; recommends and develops solutions to problems and deficiencies; suggests revisions to standards and procedures, as necessary.
Keeps informed of trends and developments throughout the computer industry; analyzes various economic alternatives for Company investment in computer resources and provides background information regarding the profitable application of computer technology.
Guides, counsels, develops, and trains personnel in organizations to ensure their thorough understanding of systems and equipment conversions, support infrastructures or upgrades; provides solutions to problems that recur during the utilization of installed systems and equipment; monitors technical work performance for adherence to accepted professional standards as well as Aramco internal standards.
Participates in the activities of computer and professional societies; serves on working committees within such groups; may attend national and international congresses or conferences.
Develop strategic technology alignments that should be governed through an integrated investment strategy to enable the company digital transformation program.
