We are seeking for a Safety Coordinator to join the IT Engineering Project Services Division of Information Technology Engineering Department.
The Safety Coordinator primary role is to be consultant and the specialist in safety and loss prevention aspect of the department in line with the industry standard and practices.
A successful candidate shall hold as minimum a Bachelor’s degree in technical or industrial discipline like engineering and/or specialized in safety, loss prevention general engineering degree from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred.
Candidate shall have as minimum ten years of experience in the field of safety and/or loss prevention. Preferred to have worked in the region and are aware of the region safety matters.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Candidate is required as minimum (not limited) to perform the following:
Demonstrate leadership and public relation competency with team working spirit to inspire and promote commitment to safety practices among department members
Demonstrate strong coordination and event planning competency
Develop Annual comprehensive and detailed department safety activities plan
Develop tracking and monitoring mechanism and techniques to maintain compliance with the industry safety practices and standards
Possess the capability to understand the company safety standards and procedures, and be able to suggest improvement plan
Develop and upkeep the department safety management manual
Document safety events in line with the corporate and admin requirement
Expected to be a volunteering person
Develop a comprehensive site inspection plan
Coordinate the safety events including meetings, inspection
Report focus safety actions on daily and weekly frequency to the department stakeholders
Coordinate safety training in collaboration with internal and external safety training providers
