We are seeking a Microsoft Access VBA Developer & Data Analyst to join the Analytics, Advisory and Support Group of the Management & Professional Development Department.
The Analytics, Advisory and Support Group is responsible for providing confidential HR analytics that support the identification, development, and selection of Saudi Aramco’s future leaders.
The Microsoft Access VBA Developer & Data Analyst primary role is to create/maintain applications, queries, forms, reports and tables in Microsoft Access, so as to enable rapid and accurate responses to corporate management on talent questions.
As the successful candidate you will hold a bachelor degree in management information, computer science, information technology, or business administration, from an approved and recognized institution. Also desired are Microsoft Certifications relating to Access and VBA (such as the Microsoft Office Specialist for Access, and similar).
You will have 5 years of experience as a Microsoft Access VBA Developer, with a strong working knowledge of SQL to create/maintain applications, queries, forms, reports, and tables. This includes at least 5 years of experience in SQL, SAP, Crystal Reports, MS Excel, MS Access and Visual Basic Coding. Also required is a solid working knowledge of extract, transform and load methods to/from various data formats is also necessary, knowledge of SAP Success Factors and R or Python for data analysis is desirable. Exposure to talent management data analytics and practical experience with quantitative and statistical methods is preferred. You will also have the ability to multi-task, work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines, and will be able to demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail. Seeking first to understand, being open to change, and striving to work as a team are also necessary. You must have a learning mindset that takes the initiative to continually improve. You will be able to demonstrate active listening with a customer service mindset. You will have excellent English language written and verbal communication skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
Create and maintain applications, queries, forms, reports and tables in Microsoft Access using VBA code. Use Crystal Reports to download Data Source Objects (DSOs) from SAP Business Intelligence (BI) to build the daily download for the Microsoft Access analytics system. Provide timely and accurate responses to President & CEO and corporate management on questions relating to talent. Provide technical and administrative support to corporate management talent meetings. Stay current on the best practices and tools related to Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), data analytics and user interface systems. Keep confidential data private and secure.
