We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer, to join Berry Gas Plant Department (BGPD).
BGP was brought on stream in 1977. The plant current processing capacity is 1.44 billion standard cubic feet per day (BSCFD) of associated gas. The plant products are NGL, Ethane, Sales Gas and Liquid Sulfur.
The engineer will perform detailed engineering design and project executions. Also perform inter-disciplinary work during the execution of oil & gas facility projects.
As a successful candidate, you should hold a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
You must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in mechanical, most important in oil and/or gas industry.
You must have hands-on experience in piping design, valve selection, material selection, pressure vessel design, and heat exchanger.
You should have strong knowledge of the international standards and codes ASME, API and ASTM especially piping standard such as ASME B31.3, Pressure Vessel Code ASME I, II, IV and VIII.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You are expected to be able to perform the following:
Review and understand project phases from project proposal till the filed executions.
Plan, coordinate and prepare equipment of work specifications, bid evaluations and award recommendations.
Participate in HAZOP review sessions and ensure that all issues are addressed.
Develop complete cost estimates, manpower estimates and other project controls documents.
Manage multiple ongoing facility projects, keep track of daily progress and associated costs, and implement cost-control measures to insure projects are completed.
Bring all elements of a project together, ensure all elements proceed satisfactorily on schedule and within the money allowed; and initiate corrective action as required.
Recommend new installations or modifications to improve existing facilities and standardization within broad fields of endeavor.
Develop scope and description of technology items, and lead the implementation and operation of developed solutions in the field.
