Saudi Aramco’s Domestic Refining and NGL Fractionation team is seeking Electrical Systems Operators to work in the Jazan Refinery. Jazan refinery will have the capacity to process 400,000 BPD of Arabian Heavy and Arabian Medium crude oils to produce gasoline, ultra-low-sulfur diesel, benzene, and paraxylene. This is an expatriate opportunity located in Saudi Arabia.
As the successful candidate you will have:
A high-school diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in the operation of electrical equipment, including but not limited to transformers, switchgears, relays, protective devices, UPS, battery chargers, batteries, panels, etc.
Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
Maintain responsibility for refinery electrical network system, including their operation, inspection, preventive maintenance, program planning, co-ordination and switching outage.
Develop electrical switching program and perform the switching activities to isolate the electrical power flow on a system or load equipment.
Take the necessary action for planning and preparing for electrical equipment outages that may be required in support of operation, inspection, maintenance and repair work.
During power outages or power system disturbances, will report to the scene to restore power or isolate parts of the electrical system and control the power flow during emergency situation.
Analyze faulty operations and performs line patrol after system disturbances to determine their cause and the repairs needed. Provides cable routes, identification of cables and proof of isolation.
Define clearances and issue work permits, using established procedures. Monitor work being done during repairs of electrical transmission and distribution equipment for adherence to safety standars, rules and practices.
Sets, adjusts and performs maintenance on machine tool equipment and balancing machines.
Remove, repair, and install tubes in heat exchangers and condensers. Pull tube bundles, and expand and plug tubes.
Saudi Aramco’s Refining, Marketing & International (RM&I) business line is responsible for the Company’s downstream operations: refining, distribution and marketing. RM&I oversees the operations of the Company’s wholly owned refineries and NGL (natural gas liquids) fractionation plants. The business line is also responsible for the Company’s large integrated distribution system that encompasses pipelines, bulk plants and marine terminals. Saudi Aramco’s wholly-owned shipping subsidiary, Vela International Marine Limited, operates one of the world’s largest fleets of supertankers. RM&I coordinates the Company’s crude oil and refined products sales and marketing activities, in the Kingdom and in the Far East, Europe and the United States. RM&I also directs the Company’s domestic and international joint and equity ventures in refining and marketing. Recently, the Company has moved further downstream by integrating petrochemical production with its Rabigh refinery in a project with an international partner and by entering into a similar venture in China. Additional integrated refining and petrochemical ventures are under study.
