Position Description:
We are seeking a Career Counselor join the University Relations Division of Training and Development.

The primary function of the University Relations Division (URD) is to ensure that the overall corporate partnerships with institutions of higher education and government are satisfactorily and sustainably managed and enhanced.
Managing university engagements at a strategic level. Supports the Company’s and Kingdom’s transition to a knowledge economy strengthens the research and development portfolio and ensures a sustainable supply of talent. Through effective administration of this primary function, URD remains the focal point of contact for Saudi Aramco university partnerships.
URD aligns internal stakeholders with potential top-tier academic partners in order to meet the education and research needs of the Company. URD is the recognized source of expertise for industry-university partnerships and a catalyst for building a knowledge-based economy. URD also develops, maintains and promotes strategic partnerships between Saudi Aramco and institutions of higher education.

The Career Counselor primary role is to execute the increased workload due to the recent approval of the Companywide University Engagement Strategy and the Strategic University Committee, in addition to interacting with internal and external teams/advisors to ensure successful implementation of the partnerships to maximize benefits for the Company.

Minimum Requirements:
As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business from a recognized and approved program.

You will have minimum five (5) years’ experience in managing university-industry relations.

Has experience in network-building between academia and corporation.

Promote joint R&D projects within the university, which could be potentially interesting for both Saudi Aramco and academic researchers.

Strong human relations skills and understanding of Saudi Arab culture.

Strong English both orally and in writing, to produce clear, logical and comprehensive reports and correspondence.

Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:

Create reports for the Strategic University Committee
Create detailed plans with clearly defined partnership objectives and desired outcomes.
Collaborate with BLs and division head to develop university partnership strategies for targeted universities.
Develop operational plans and branding activities at assigned universities to attract top professors and researchers for collaborative research.
Develop relationships with department heads and faculty/staff.
Develop, implement and execute on-campus events that include: info session, tech talks, executive visits, faculty visits, Saudi Aramco Days and events with professors and researchers.
Manage university relations advisor teams to ensure appropriate selection of team members and clear role definitions/responsibilities; coach and prepare the advisors for campus visits; and coordinate closely to ensure a unified partnerships approach.
Partner with university teams to annually assess each target universities’ performance to determine overall effectiveness, review analyses with key stakeholders/BLs and use data and feedback to make long-term decisions related to each university.
