Position Description:
This position, reporting to the Stakeholder Data and Insight [Supervisor], will be a lead analyst in the Stakeholder Data and Insight (SDI) group, consisting of social data and market analysts and researchers, and servicing internal PR/communications and business line customers and executives. The Stakeholder Research Analyst will bring a significant experience as a social data analyst with demonstrated achievements across real-time, regular and deep-dive data-first reporting. The Stakeholder Research Analyst will apply data science knowledge and technical skills to deliver the SDI strategy, plan, and operations using existing social insight and data visualization tools (e.g., Brandwatch, Google Analytics, etc.). The Stakeholder Research Analyst will support and advise on existing and new external agency contracts and annual tool assessments, and will proactively explore and learn from evolving global best practices in social data analysis and reputation and brand measurement practices and methodologies to enhance and optimize SDI’s business value to Saudi Aramco.

Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in a field related to marketing and communications; data analysis qualifications are an advantage
13 years of experience with a minimum of 3 years in social data analytics and research; direct agency or in-house experience in energy, chemicals, industrial, political campaigns, or intelligence is preferred
Demonstrated experience with social listening tools (e.g., Brandwatch, Trendkite, etc.), Boolean query building, and geospatial and data visualization (e.g., Power BI and Excel)
Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong presentation skills. Arabic language skills are an advantage, but not mandatory

Duties & Responsibilities:
Consistently demonstrate added value to SDI’s objectives and the corporate strategy through delivery of action-inspiring research and insight, verbally and through impactful, simple and compelling visuals and reports
Understand and interpret complex business and research questions and distill into clear research briefs
Demonstrate and share expert knowledge and technical skills in Boolean query building, social and online research, and data analysis using social listening and insight tools (e.g., Brandwatch and Trendkite)
Contribute to the establishment and monitoring of SDI performance goals, designed to support communications strategy and business needs
Develop a network of relationships across Saudi Aramco PR/communications functions, business lines, and out-of-Kingdom affiliate offices
Support project management of regular and ad hoc monitoring, research, and reporting
Ensure quality of research and reporting is objective focused and aligned to business needs
Contribute to advancement of existing reputation and brand measurement methodologies for greater focus on return on investment (ROI), performance, and alignment to business strategies and objectives
Occasionally participate in ad-hoc/emergency and annually planned forums and cycles, providing data-driven insight to support strategic and tactical decision making
Continually learn from and import evolving global best practices and methodologies in social data insight and reputation and brand measurement
