Process and Control Systems Engineer

We are seeking a Process and Control Systems Engineer to work under Northern Area Gas Producing Department (NAGPD). NAGPD operates and maintains Karan and Arabiyah & Hasbah offshore gas producing facilities.
The qualified engineer will provide support to operate and maintain these Northern Area Oil Operations Offshore Gas fields. The candidate will be part of Operation Engineering unit that provides engineering and support services for offshore gas facilities.
As a successful candidate you should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Systems, Chemical, Electrical, or Electronics.
You must have a minimum of 10 years of oil & gas facilities control systems & Siemens SCADA, design and operations
You must have experience in Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Start-up.
You must have experience of model reviews (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, QRA, 3D Model).
You must have an understanding and appreciation of SCADA system design and control as well as safety concepts as applicable oil and gas industry.
You must have experience in SCADA components including RTU, PLC with strong knowledge of SCADA system architecture and functionality.
You should have the ability in assessing problems and identifying and arriving at optimal solutions to challenging control system problems.
You should be familiar with networking principles and cybersecurity for process control environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You are expected to be able to perform the following:
Maintain existing SCADA system throughout its life.
Provide engineering technical support, programming and configuration abilities to maintain SCADA, ESD, SCADA, RTU and third party systems such as VMS, CCS, TMS and PLC systems.
Review design packages, and engineering specifications to ensure conformance with relevant standards and practices.
Ability to perform process control loop tuning utilizing software applications.
Recommend installations or modifications to improve existing plant control system elements or replacement of defective/obsolete control systems elements.
Review software design of customized solutions including process control and safety Systems.
Prepare the procedures for all operations and maintenance activities related to control systems.
Develop electrical and controls system design solutions based on engineering principles and involvement in presentation of the solution to customer.
Participate in control systems/packages from design to commissioning and operations including, design review, walkthrough, HAZOP, SIL, FAT and SAT
