We are seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join the Northern Area Technical Support Department (NATSD).
NATSD provides engineering support for the Northern Area Oil Operations with specialized engineering and technical knowledge in the areas of varied disciplines to maximize profitability and meeting highest standards of safety and environment.
As a successful candidate you should hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering; preferably in electronics, electrical engineering, systems engineering or computer engineering.
You must have a minimum of 12 years’ in process control systems field support, engineering, and hands on experience preferably in oil and gas industry or similar process industry
You must have experience with troubleshooting, identifying and solving technical problems of process & control systems specifically Honeywell TDC2000/3000; Yokogawa Centum VP, Foxboro I/A, Triconex, Emerson Open Enterprise and Control Wave RTUs, Safety Manager, Bently Nevada 3500, CCC Series 3++ and Series 5.
You should have understanding and ability to interpret and analyze different types of engineering documents and data.
You must be familiar with required international codes and standards.
You must have strong analytical abilities and project management skills.
You should have knowledge base of the latest developments in oil and gas process engineering technology through work experience, conferences, seminars and professional journals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
Handle complex functions with a variety of software and systems, including industrial machines and protocols, building custom hardware and applying machine learning, image processing, and real-time data processing using distributed systems.
Develop custom communications protocols, PLC optimization, fieldbus architecture design, diagnostics development and mechatronic equipment design.
Design and develop solutions involving automation, data management and precision measurement. PLC programming experience is desirable.
