Saudi Aramco, a fully integrated, global petroleum enterprise, is seeking experienced professionals to join our growing Chemicals Business Organization. We have an immediate requirement for an experienced C4 Chain Business Specialist.

As the successful candidate, you will hold a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field; an MBA is desired.
You will have 15 years of experience in the petrochemical industry with a substantive number of years in C4 and or ethylene manufacturing, and C4 markets.
You will have an awareness ethylene plant feedstock economics the implication to Crude C4 quality and supply availability and an awareness of secondary market influences (such as isoprene, SBR, natural rubber) on BD supply and pricing moves.
You will have experience with implementing robust C4 value chain strategies and effectively negotiate commercial supply agreements.
You will have good communication skills and be comfortable working independently and effectively with cross-department teams and through vertical organizational levels and you will be the Company’s primary commercial advisor in the Butadiene and C4 Value Chain, and related businesses. Ideally you will have previous leadership experience in butadiene and or C4 products commercial and strategy management.
You will demonstrate excellent presentation, interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to interface effectively with internal engineering, R&D, and technical service groups.
Part of your role will include business travel both domestically and internationally.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
Leverage strong technical and business acumen with meaningful experience in the butadiene and C4 petrochemicals commercial environments and demonstrate in-depth understanding of upstream and downstream drivers of Crude C4 and Butadiene supply and demand and their market implications.
Develop market intelligence and supply and demand analysis in support of internal business planning strategy and formulate cogent commercial strategies and optimize internal and external C4 value chain options.
Understand and optimize C4 value chain integration across the company’s equity plants and joint ventures and build commercial and supply relationships from first contact through product and customer qualification and sustain them to form loyal customer alliances.
Perform due diligence in prospective mergers and acquisitions by advising on the product slate and competitive potential of assets, including internal or supply chain integration advantages
Guide the mentorship of promising young engineers though the development of business acumen and commercial experiences.
