The Eastern Area Exploration Department is seeking a top Prospect Generator with strong seismic stratigraphy and attribute analysis experience to join their world class team.

As the successful applicant you will be seasoned in prospect generation, and have expertise in clastic and/or carbonate seismic stratigraphy.

You will have strong abilities in generation and use of seismic attribute analysis for lithology, porosity, and fluid type prediction.

Minimum Requirements:
As the successful candidate you will have a bachelor degree in geology or geophysics. It is preferred that you have a master or Ph.D. degree in Geophysics, with emphasis on carbonate or clastic seismic stratigraphy, and attribute analysis.

You will have a minimum of 15 years of experience exploring for hydrocarbons in clastic or carbonate environments.

Preferably, this experience will have been acquired working for major or independent oil companies operating in North America (USA and Canada basins), companies working in the North Sea, or major companies in South East Asia.

Middle East experience is desirable.

Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:

Develop strong leads, generate prospects, mature these prospects; and work within a multidisciplinary team.

Manage advanced sequence and stratigraphic analysis using G&G applications. This will include visualization, integration of various G&G datasets, and chronostratigraphy.

Conduct in depth conversion and generation of multiple scenarios based on sound velocity models.

Petrophysics analysis in carbonate environments, and have an in-depth understanding of rock physics.

Generate advanced seismic attribute analysis, and use this analysis on large wells and seismic datasets.

Interface with multiple levels, including subordinates, peers, supervisors, and venture partners.
