The Geophysical Imaging Department is actively seeking a Seismic Petrophysicist to join its world-class team.
As the successful candidate you will have extensive experience in formation evaluation in conventional and unconventional reservoirs, single and multi-well petrophysics and core-log integration.
You will have experience in borehole sonic processing and should be aware of the latest sonic tools. You will be well versed in a wide range of petrophysical techniques and log data types such as sonic, image logs, NMR and other latest logging technology.
As the successful candidate, you will hold a bachelor’s degree in geophysics or alternative disciplines including physics, geology or engineering.
You will have a minimum of 8 years hands-on experience in petrophysics either for a major operator or a service company.
Have a broad work experience from different regions, countries, and different types of reservoirs. Experience in GeoLog and Techlog would be advantageous.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:-
Handle projects with a large number of wells and deliver results within tight deadlines.
Work within a multidisciplinary team, be able to integrate logs and seismic data, seismic-well ties, saturation height modeling geomechanics, rock typing and formation test data.
Conduct log predictions using different statistical techniques such as neural network, fuzzy logic, multi-linear regressions, and python scripting.
Function in a leadership-based role, mentoring and training less experienced colleagues, and providing structured training as required.
