We are looking for a Corrosion Engineer to join Hawiyah NGL Plant Department (HNGLD) under Gas Operations Admin Area.
Hawiyah NGL Plant (HNGL) is a facility designed to process Haradh and Hawiyah Gas Plants mixed sales gas streams to extract recoverable NGL for use as a feedstock for the petrochemical industries in Jubail and Yanbu industrial cities. HNGL contains several process units including gas treating, NGL recovery, mercury removal, Gas compression and heat recovery systems for energy efficiency.
You will conduct special studies and analyses in a specialized corrosion control field, such as cathodic protection, water treatment, chemical inhibition or materials selection. Also, provide specialized technical corrosion control services and consultation.
As a successful candidate you should hold a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
You must have 10 years in the Gas/Oil industry; or similar.
You must have a strong knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, and international standards and codes ASTM especially inspection and corrosion standards.
You must have experience and knowledge in material science and metrology.
You must has knowledge at different NDT technology and their applications
You must have knowledge in engineering aspect of welding.
You must have NACE senior corrosion technologist certification from the National Association of Corrosion engineers (NACE).
You must have the following certifications: API 570, API 510, API 653, API 571, API 580, and API 579.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
Provide work direction to a team of corrosion control engineers and technicians working on a specific corrosion control project or assigned to a specific geographical or operational area.
Provide expert advice and assistance to design, construction, operations and maintenance personnel on matters pertaining to a corrosion control area.
Perform special studies in corrosion control. Evaluate data as to scope, impact and long-range cost effectiveness on existing and planned facilities, and coordinates the preparation of reports.
Review operations and monitoring activities associated with corrosion control facilities to identify needed system modifications or procedural changes.
Keep current with significant developments in corrosion control, with emphasis on your area of specialty, through technical literature, participation in professional and industry society meetings, etc.
