We are seeking an Events Technical Manager to join the Operations Division of the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture Department.
The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) is an iconic landmark building, and a beacon for knowledge to illuminate, inspire and catalyze the potential of the Kingdom’s vast talent pool. Ithra is an all-purpose culture destination, and an environment for transformative experiences to unlock the power of potential through mastery in arts, science, literature, and innovation. Facilities include an idea lab, library, theater, museum, energy exhibit, art gallery, children’s museum, and a knowledge tower housed under one roof to provide visitors with an immersive and transformative experience.
The Operations Division is responsible for visitor services experience, crowd management, VIP protocol, concession management, and volunteer support required to operate the King Abdulaziz Center.
Your primary role is to oversee the technical requirements of the Center and act as a guide to monitor for technical and production staff, oversight, scheduling, and planning of all technical and production requirements, including audiovisual (AV) lighting and sound, staging, and video production across all Center events; and act as a guide and mentor for technical and production staff.
As the successful candidate you will hold a bachelor’s degree in event management, theater, English literature, or other area related to the technical production of events.
You will have seven (7) years of experience in event management, planning, and management of all technical aspects of events.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
Work mainly in the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture, be assigned, as required, to extend necessary supervision for any of Saudi Aramco’s events in different regions within the Kingdom and, possibly, abroad.
Work between event support across the Center’s divisions as well as Saudi Aramco organizations related to technical and production requirements for events in addition to supervision of AV operations.
Develop cost estimates and scopes of work; execute and manage the full production schedule, including preproduction, rehearsals, and rune for Center events; and monitor the production process and adjust the timeline as required.
