We are seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer to join the Engineering Division of the East West Pipeline Department.
The Engineering Division is responsible for providing assistance in engineering analysis, development, design, and control of assigned projects within any of the recognized engineering fields.
Your role is to provide engineering expertise in the field of rotating equipment and ability to manage the remote and large fleet of gas turbines and diesel engines. Also, you should have the capability to verify and diagnose engines status through Vibration and Borescope assessments. You will have training, knowledge, and ability in your engineering specialty and a working knowledge of related engineering fields and of the applicable codes and standards.
As the successful candidate, you will hold a bachelor’s degree in Rotating Equipment Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized and approved program.
You will have a minimum of 9 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. This will include thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, international codes, standards, and specifications. Strong working experiences with aero-derivative gas turbine and gas compressors is preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
Provide engineering expertise in the field of rotating equipment and the ability to manage the remote and large fleet of gas turbines and diesel engines. Also, have the capability to verify and diagnose engine status through Vibration and Borescope assessments.
Support capital projects in all aspects (design, precommissioning, and commissioning). Also, review design documents and drawings and data for large pumps and rotating equipment.
Attend field investigations and issue detailed reports. Also, provide technical guidance to operations and engineering, monitor and analyze the Company’s rotating equipment to direct and recommend problem solutions.
Review and update the preventive maintenance program.
Issue procedures and quality assurance plans. Develop a bad actor failure reduction program. Also, develop lifecycle costs for rotating equipment repairs and replacement.
Initiate detailed work outlines and make decisions as to basic approaches related to any troubleshooting of Electric Gas Generators, Shipper and Booster pumps, and Startup and Mechanical Seal Removal Procedures.
Discuss, coordinate, and resolve problems with personnel throughout Saudi Aramco and subsidiaries and outside Company organizations. Acts as technical consultant when required.
Support and maintain the following Company Rotating Equipment Programs:
Trips and Failed to Start Program (Monthly Reviews).
Lube Oil Condition (LCM) Monitoring (Monthly Reviews).
Air Filtration condition (Quarterly).
Borescope Inspection (Scheduled and per request).
Vibration Survey (Scheduled and per request).
Mechanical Seal Program (Maintained year round).
Reliable Operation’s Committee (Quarterly).
Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS).
Engineering Job Requests (EJRs).
Engine History Log (Running Hours, Location, Out-of-Kingdom overhaul, and Time Since Last Overhaul).
Performance Indices Report (Yearly).
