Explorations Geospatial & Data Management Solutions Division is seeking a top Geographic Information Systems Analyst (GIS) to join their world class team.

As the successful candidate you will have expertise in GIS workflows, including remote sensing, GPS, desktop mapping, web and database applications and GIS interoperability.

Minimum Requirements:
As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelors’ degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, Surveying Engineering or a relevant field.

You will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in Oil & Gas and GIS, with a solid foundation of GIS methodologies, ESRI software, geocoding techniques, data model formats and data conversion practices.

Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:

Create map layouts and views, perform spatial analysis, and generate map/reports for Exploration end users.

Provide geospatial data support by working to increase GIS competency among both Exploration non-GIS users and GIS users.

Develop and maintain GIS solutions by evaluating client needs, and analyzing requirements for developing systems.

Conduct research on emerging GIS technologies in support of system developments, and recommend GIS technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and system flexibility.

Assess the existing GIS architecture and technology; make recommendations for improvements and/or alternatives.

Utilize GIS techniques to provide a better understanding of certain variables in a given geographic location.

Extract data from GIS software and use varying analysis methods to arrive at results.
