We are seeking a Software Engineer to join the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture.
The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) is an iconic landmark building, a beacon for knowledge to inspire and catalyze the potential of the Kingdom’s vast talent pool. Facilities include an idea lab, library, theater, museum, energy exhibit, art gallery, children’s museum, and a knowledge tower housed under one roof to provide visitors with an immersive and transformative experience.
The Software Engineer’s primary role is to architect, design, and develop applications together with business intelligence and advanced analytics functionality.
As the successful candidate you will hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science/software engineering or similar program from a recognized university. A master’s degree is always preferred.
You will have 5+ years of object oriented software systems design and development experience.
You will have skills in the following:
Microsoft ASP.NET, or Angular-based Web systems design and development
Microsoft SharePoint/Power BI, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS
Implementation of service oriented architecture (Schema/WSDL/HTML5/ XML/XSLT/SOAP/REST)
Knowledge of design patterns, entity framework, MVC framework and JQuery
A solid understanding of industry patterns for application architecture and integration
Skills in Microsoft BizTalk Server and Microsoft Azure are preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
Work closely with the business to understand business processes, derive business and functional requirements, and perform feasibility studies and advice accordingly.
Participate actively in requirements gathering, data modeling, and design sessions.
Prepare high level and detailed technical specifications for the projects in accordance with Saudi Aramco, security and architecture documentation objectives.
Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing, and implementation phases of project.
Design and develop engineering applications following the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Design and develop corporate dashboards and operational reports for end users.
Develop, code, document, and execute unit tests, systems, integration, and acceptance tests and testing tools for functions of high complexity.
Participate in the implementation of advanced analytical applications in the Business Intelligence Division (BID).
Diagnose and resolve operational problems related to advanced analytical applications to ensure system availability.
