We are seeking a SharePoint Administrator to join the Global Analysis Department (GAD) within the Strategy & Market Analysis (SMA) Organization.
The core function of the S&MA organization is to advise the company’s management and guide other departments within the company on energy markets and outlooks, economic evaluations, oil pricing, macroeconomic outlook, and international energy policies and regulations, besides assisting in business planning and strategy formulation. S&MA serves as the center of expertise on the application of economic principles and assumptions to business issues throughout the company. To perform these functions S&MA has developed a set of special purpose applications and databases, which are maintained within the organization, including a document management system called CPDocs and a database/web portal application called SEIS (Saudi Energy Information System).
Your primary role is to customize our document management system (CPDocs) and make it more usable for our end users, and develop new extensions to meet business needs.
As the successful candidate you will have the following:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related specialty from a leading university.
At least 3 years of industrial experience in system administration of Microsoft servers and SharePoint. Certifications in relevant areas is desirable.
Experience in system architecture especially for clustered environments based on Microsoft products.
Experience in working with virtualization, especially knowledge of Microsoft System Center is a plus.
Ability to communicate effectively with management at all levels within the organization.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to document work and produce system manuals, user guides, and training material.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
Migrate the SharePoint CPDocs system from a single server architecture to a multi-server architecture with increased availability and scalability, compliant with Aramco IT guidelines for SharePoint installations.
Be responsible for backup, recovery drills, and other mechanisms required to guarantee data retention and availability.
Do performance studies and troubleshooting, to ensure availability and usability of the document management system.
Maintain technology know-how and future trends regarding Microsoft products for content management, such as SharePoint.
