Position Description:
We are seeking a Corrosion Engineer to join Southern Area Gas Producing Department (SAGPD).

SAGPD facilities are operating under harsh corrosive environments with expected high corrosion rate which needs to be closely managed by competency corrosion engineers able to study, measure, monitor, control and prevent corrosion processes to ensure meeting safety and production demand in economic manner. Despite the very high corrosive environment, SAGPD’s facilities are huge and distributed over a massive geographical area with predicted yearly increase of 196 new gas wells.

Minimum Requirements:
The successful candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

You must have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in corrosion and inspection, and at least 2 certificates of the below:
NACE Corrosion Technologist
NACE Corrosion Specialist Certification
API 571 - Corrosion and Materials Professional
NACE CP Specialist Certification
Or the combination of NACE basic corrosion + CP level II + CIP level II (All together).

Duties & Responsibilities:
You are expected to be able to perform the following:

Develop continuous improvements solutions by collecting, analyzing corrosion issues.

Maintain the department corrosion management programs.

Transfer of the corrosion strategy to the discipline responsible of CP/painting and coating design.

Monitor and improve chemical treatment.

Interface with Installation engineering functions to solve the anti-corrosion problems of different projects.

Coordinate Laboratory experimental work in corrosion field.

Share knowledge and train young engineers.
