Upstream Continuing Excellence Department (UCE) are seeking an experienced Petroleum Engineer to work with the Upstream Professional Development Center (UPDC) to address all training needs of the upstream multifaceted reservoir engineering discipline.
As the successful candidate’ you will work within a team of technical advisors to develop and deliver a wide range of professional development programs targeting Saudi Aramco reservoir engineers (reservoir management, reservoir simulation, well testing, reserves) of all experience levels.
You will work closely with upstream technical advisors from other disciplines to develop multidisciplinary training programs.
As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, or other engineering disciplines. An MSc and/or PhD degree in Petroleum Engineering is desirable.
You will have a minimum of 15 years industry experience in Reservoir Engineering projects and operations; this will include a minimum of 10 years’ experience in technical roles such as, field development planning.
Competency in Reservoir Engineering disciplines such as reservoir management, reservoir simulation, reserves, and well testing are essential.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to:
Enhance the UPDC Reservoir Engineering job family curricula for early career, mid-career and senior professionals.
Manage content development activities for the Reservoir Engineering job family.
Contribute to the delivery of several Reservoir Engineering courses including the Upstream on-boarding program, the Reservoir Engineering Flagship and the Reservoir Simulation workshop as well as other technical subjects.
Engage management at all levels to ensure technical curriculum and content development is in line with management objectives and expectations
Develop the annual course delivery schedule for the Reservoir Engineering Job Family and ensure both in-house and vendor instructors are confirmed for each course.
Identify external consultant and instructor needs for development, and submit the necessary paperwork in a timely fashion with adequate notice.
Utilize UPDC-based instructional designers, graphic artists, and technical writers for building technical content as appropriate.
Sit in on courses to evaluate course quality and instructor effectiveness, especially courses developed and delivered by external vendors.
Innovate, create, and share new approaches in training or technical advancement through local and international SPE forums.
