We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Equipment Reliability Engineer) to work with Manifa Producing Department Reliability Unit.
The Reliability Unit provides front line support for all Manifa plants with specialized engineering and technical knowledge in the areas of machineries fault analysis and vibration analysis. Additionally, it administrates the prediction maintenance program and technology deployment.
As a successful candidate, you should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
You must have a minimum of 11 years’ experience with advance knowledge in reliability engineering and prediction maintenance program, obtainable usually through a combination of experience and continuing education. Preferred to have professional engineering certifications.
You must have intensive experience in the area of fault analysis of equipment and vibration analysis engineering.
You should be confident in mechanical engineering and design principles related to machines components, and fluid mechanics.
You must have the experience in rotating equipment, their components, and auxiliary systems construction and design along with their functions including, but not limited to the followings:
Pumps, Compressors, Gas turbines, Steam turbine, Gears and gearboxes. Mechanical seals, Bearings
Control and protection system of rotating equipment including vibration system, ESD System and Anti surge, recycle system.
You should be able to interpret and analyze different types of engineering documents, data, engineering technical drawing, and drawing associated with machine such as curves.
You should have experience in condition monitoring system and be familiar with vibration protection and lubrication systems of different rotating equipment.
Must have a knowledge and experience regarding installation of rotating equipment and its related issues such as alignment, and leveling.
You should be familiar with required international Codes and Standards (ASME /API / AWS).
You should possess strong analytical abilities and project execution skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You are expected to be able to perform the following:
Review and enhance the equipment condition utilizing condition monitoring, analysis and troubleshooting activities and make engineering reports.
Work to improve maintenance and reliability KPIs like MTBF, MTTR and Equipment availability..etc.
Review Bad Actor list (rotating equipment), analyze the problems/issues and provide recommendations
Conduct troubleshooting for any rotating equipment related problem to improve performance and/or bring equipment back in service.
Participate in construction, installation, commissioning, and start-up of rotating equipment, to ensure quality of work to prevent consequence.
Conduct performance test of rotating equipment to ensure their operation within the acceptable range.
