We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Machinery Vibration Analyst) to work under Manifa Producing Department Reliability Unit.
The Reliability Unit provides front line support for all Manifa plants with specialized engineering and technical knowledge in the areas of machineries fault analysis and vibration analysis. Additionally, it administrates the prediction maintenance program and technology deployment.
As a successful candidate, you should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
You must have a minimum of 12 years’ experience with advance knowledge in vibration analysis for rotating equipment, obtainable usually through a combination of experience and continuing education. Preferred to have professional engineering certifications and international certificates in vibration analysis.
You must have intensive experience in the area of collecting and analyzing equipment vibration.
You should be confident in mechanical engineering and design principles related to machines components, and fluid mechanics.
You must have knowledge and understanding of rotating equipment, their components, auxiliary systems construction and design along with their functions and their system performance/hydraulic calculations.
You must have understanding and ability to interpret and analyze different types of engineering documents, data, engineering technical drawing, and drawing associated with machine such as curves.
You must have knowledge and experience in condition monitoring system and be familiar with vibration protection and lubrication systems of different rotating equipment.
You must have a knowledge and experience regarding installation of rotating equipment and its related issues such as alignment, and leveling.
Must be familiar with required international Codes and Standards (ASME /API / AWS).
You should possess strong analytical abilities and project execution skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You are expected to be able to perform the following:
Gather and analysis vibration data online and offline and make conclusion about the surveyed asset condition.
Provide technical advice for operations and maintenance on condition of machines and repair methods (workshop and Field) to ensure and enhance rotating equipment integrity and reliability.
Investigate rotating equipment components failures in the assigned area and review Bad Actor list (rotating equipment), analyze the problems/issues and provide recommendations.
Enhance rotating equipment reliability utilizing condition monitoring, analysis and troubleshooting activities.
Participate in construction, installation, commissioning, and start-up of rotating equipment, to ensure quality of work to prevent consequence.
Conduct performance test of rotating equipment to ensure their operation within the acceptable range.
Participate in HAZOP study related to rotating equipment.
