We are seeking an experienced Process Control Systems Engineer to work under Abqaiq Plants Operation Department (APOD).
APOD is processing the crude oil to perform the required stabilization of the produced crude and also it handles the NGL compression to further processing, this involves utility trains as well
The engineer will support the existing control and Emergency Shutdown System (ESS) systems at Abqaiq Plants. Support includes design, configuration, and troubleshooting of control systems logic, software, hardware, interfaces, and networks. In addition, you will provide consultation and technical support for new projects involving the development of control strategies and installation/upgrade of control and ESD systems. You will also work to optimize several plant processes utilizing advanced process control techniques and data/process modeling.
As a successful candidate, you should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or any other major related to process control.
You must have a minimum of 9 years’ experience preferably in the oil industry and at operating facilities.
You should have experience in Emerson DeltaV control system and DeltaV SIS.
You should be an expert in developing complex control logic and strategies.
You should be able to develop advanced process control logic and perform associated process and data modeling.
You should have a thorough knowledge of industry standards as well as best practices in the field of process control and safety.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You are expected to be able to perform the following:
Control systems & ESS configuration, support, and troubleshooting.
Provide technical guidance, field support, and consultation for all process control related issues in the plant
Lead project related to new control systems installation or upgrade.
Develop/commission advanced process control models and logic
Carry out technical studies to improve control systems performance and optimize control.
Train and develop less experienced engineers.
