Position Description:
As a recognized company expert in the field of electrical engineering discipline, the successful candidate will provide professional advice and guidance regarding electrical design, procedures, specification, electrical studies, major electrical equipment and provides solutions to many difficult electrical equipment and loads issues.

The post holder will looks for ways to introduce new technology to enhance company profitability and productivity, as well as being responsible for maintaining and incorporating new cost-effective solutions in design through the Unconventional Resources Engineering Standards and Design Best Practices.

The incumbent will represent Unconventional Resources in dealings with vendors, manufacturers and design firms where expert electrical engineering advice is required.

The Electrical Engineering Consultant will be also responsible for leading the team to develop a full spectrum of Engineering Standards for the Unconventional resources related to electrical. Extensive experience in power generation and co-generation in the unconventional Gas projects is highly desirable.

Minimum Requirements:
B.S. in engineering is essential plus a M.S. or PhD in engineering or other advanced professional engineering degree is highly desirable. Professional Engineer license or registration is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will likely have twenty years of professional experience, including a minimum of five years as a lead principal engineer and/or an electrical consultant in charge of major technical issues.

The incumbent will normally have achieved industry recognition through activities in professional societies and industrial organizations such as IEEE and other international organization. Wide experience and knowledge of electrical international organization such as ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, API, IEC and NEMA.

Technically the post holder will require strong experience in gas engine generators, dual fuel engine generators, gas turbines, high voltage overhead transmission lines and substations

Duties & Responsibilities:
The post holder will be expected to undertake a range of duties and responsibilities to including:-

Provides expert advice and assistance to the Unconventional resources, outside vendors, manufacturers, and design firms on matters relating electrical expertise

Strong design experience in low voltage, medium voltage and high voltage systems, motor controls, motor schematics, logic diagrams and interconnection diagrams.

Wide knowledge of various electrical system studies and analysis such as ETAP system analysis, relay protection, relay settings, arc flash study and other electrical studies.

Originates and carries out engineering studies to determine potential Problems and remedies to existing problems resolve complex technical problems, increase revenue, optimize processes, protect the environment, or improve safety.

Develops and maintains the Unconventional resources Engineering Standards and Design Best Practices, Design Manuals or other documentation to enhance company profitability, safety and productivity.

Evaluates and introduces best practices and new technologies from all over the world to help the Unconventional resources to achieve Best in Class positions.

Reviews and evaluates the capabilities of vendors and contractors to determine their acceptability to perform major services to the Unconventional Resources. Acts as the department representative in dealings with vendors and manufacturers pertaining to his field of experience.

Works on or with Task Forces assigned to investigate incidents or solve specific problems. Performs cost analyses and Value Engineering studies as appropriate. Undertakes special assignments requiring extensive technical experience and discretion when dealing with outside organizations.

Conducts seminars in the resolution of technical problems with personnel in other Engineering organizations. Writes papers for peer-reviewed journals on engineering studies and projects he has overseen.

Acts as a professional mentor to less senior specialists and engineers.

Promotes a learning environment and implements self-development.

Encourage and promote team work and respect co-workers

Communicate and coordinate effectively with all Saudi Aramco organizations and others outside Saudi Aramco such as contractors and vendors
