Position Description:
We are seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to join Shaybah Producing Department (ShPD).

The department provides engineering support for the Southern Area Oil Operations with specialized engineering and technical knowledge in the areas of varied disciplines to maximize profitability and meeting highest standards of safety and environment.

The engineer provides design and support for all department’s facilities with specialized engineering and technical knowledge related to instruments troubleshooting, selection and integration.

Minimum Requirements:
As a successful candidate, you should hold a Bachelor degree of engineering in Instrument and Control or Electronics. MSc is preferred.

You must have a minimum of 10 years professional engineering experience in instrument engineering, preferably in oil & petrochemical industry. Experience in process analyzers is preferable.

Certification, such as Professional Engineer and Certified Professional is desirable.

You should have a thorough knowledge of engineering practices, calculation methods, and design details related to field instrument

You should have the knowledge of industry codes and standards applicable to Oil and Gas and Refining Industries (API, ISA, NEC / IEC, NFPA, ASME, etc.)

You should be able to lead and function as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team to maintain clear understanding of design issues, progress and objectives is required.

Duties & Responsibilities:
You are expected to be able to perform the following:

Prepare engineering design packages to install new Instrumentations.

Perform engineering troubleshooting of field instrumentations and online analyzers.

Perform technical assessment for instrumentations and analyzer performance.

Integrate new projects into existing infrastructure.

Assess and review repeated failures and bad actor instruments and analyzers.

Prepare/Review the specification and selection of field instruments to meet performance criteria.

Perform instrument-sizing calculations (Control Valves, Relief Valves, Flow Elements, and thermowell
Vibration calculations).

Participate in facilities upsets troubleshooting and investigate to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Contribute in the departments campaigns and work towards achieving operation excellence.

Review the engineering design packages for the new installation and upgrade projects.

Review project proposals and detailed design packages for new facilities and participate on the testing and commissioning of the new systems.

Update and maintain engineering documentation and drawings.

Mentor young pipeline engineers and provide advice to peers in your field of expertise.
