We are seeking a Data Engineer to join Upstream Database Service Division (UDSD) under EXPEC Computer Operations Department (ECOD).
UDSD provides and maintain upstream structured & unstructured data repositories, application middle-tier and Information Management services. Develop infrastructure & security applications for Upstream. Implement upstream data modeling, data security, data integration, data quality, data governance for enterprise data. Facilitate collaboration and provide consultation guidelines for business process management, and knowledge management services.
The successful candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Minimum of 9 years’ experience directly related to Data Modeling and Data Engineering.
Expertise in database skills specifically SQL, complex querying, SQL explain plans and tuning.
Excellent understanding of Data Security implementations in Oracle.
Clear understanding of the concepts of Data Architecture supporting analytics.
Expertise in data manipulation, data loading, data transformation, and data cleanup.
Working knowledge of the PI Integrator, R language, and Oracle Advanced Analytics options.
Knowledge of and experience with Hadoop implementations and NoSQL databases is desirable.
Knowledge of Oil & Gas Upstream business desirable.
Knowledge of and experience with Hadoop implementations, NoSQL databases is desirable.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You are expected to be able to perform the following:
Design and maintain the new Upstream Advanced Analytics database considering usage, security, performance, integrity, data migration, data transformation, and data archival.
Build and maintain data models, which serve IR 4.0 projects.
Implement data security, and set up the data streams, which feed the analytical database.
Reflect changes in model from source and target data repositories, ensure data integrity, enforce data governance and guidelines for data analysis.
Formulate policy to ensure proper data management and governance for Analytical Analysis database.
