We are seeking a Geospatial and GIS Systems Development Specialist to join our Application Technology Division, under the Exploration Applications Services Department (EASD).
The ATD GIS Team handle GIS backbone administration including the evolving of ArcGIS Enterprise (ArcGIS Portal + ArcGIS Server + ArcGIS Datastore) solution to streamline online services publishing and availability to web and desktop applications. In addition to the management and tuning of the Exploration geospatial database (SDE) for optimum performance. Furthermore, the team is responsible for developing geoprocessing services and enabling geospatial analytics using latest ArcGIS Portal based applications such as Insight and GeoAnalytics Server.
The successful candidate should hold a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software or Computer Engineering.
9 years’ experience in software development and support with at least 5 years directly related to GIS technologies.
Experience with Administering ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online.
Experience with ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap), ArcGIS Pro, Geoprocessing Tools and Scripts.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You are expected to be able to provide the following:
Recommend and conduct studies on the extension of computing technology into profitable areas of Geological and Geophysical Interpretation technical activities.
Lead Geological/Geophysical Interpretation systems projects.
Prepare proposals for higher management endorsement on technical applications where initial study has determined a high degree of operational feasibility.
Conduct market surveys to explore advanced systems and latest developments in the area of Geological/Geophysical Interpretation systems.
Participate in technical events by contributing in writing technical papers and giving presentations.
