We are seeking an Industrial Computer Engineer to join Southern Area Technical Support Division (SATSD), under Southern Area Oil Operations Admin Area (SAOO). This division directs and oversees Industrial Control Systems (ICS) cybersecurity activities for SAOO. Also, performs effective and comprehensive ICS cybersecurity compliance assessment for all of the admin area’s facilities.
You will act as the single point of contact for SAOO on all related Industrial Control Systems (ICS) security by interfacing with the concerned Saudi Aramco organizations. You will be expected to coordinate the execution of the corporate Industrial Control Systems (ICS) security projects at SAOO. Also, manage security systems deployment and provides security operational technical support. Additionally, you will assist in identifying and implementing compensating controls at all SAOO facilities.
The basic function of this role is to perform day-to-day management, maintenance, and engineering activities on plant Industrial Control Systems and conducts compliance assessments according to company standers and GIs to ensure continuous, safe, and secure plant operation. You will serve as a consultant to operation/maintenance on complex Industrial computer system cybersecurity problems.
The successful candidate should hold a Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering.
You must have a minimum of 9 years’ experience, preferably in industrial control systems and networks cybersecurity field in Oil & Gas or closely related process industry.
You should have a working knowledge of oil/gas related plant processes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You are required to be able to perform the following:
Ensure the reliable and secure operation of the industrial control system infrastructure. Manage and maintain business continuity. Monitor plant system and networks for error-free and secure operation and acceptable performance. Classify and maintain plant operating facility data.
Provide projects development, commissioning, and startup support of plant networks and systems. Liaise with area Information Technology personnel to address interface between plant, corporate networks and third party vendors. Provide software and hardware support services for related to control Systems Security.
Promote PN&S Security awareness amongst all plant’s personnel. Ensure compliance of plant networks and systems security and control requirements stated in the different Saudi Aramco standards and GIs. Keep well informed of the latest technological developments related to process automation systems to enable Saudi Aramco operating facilities to take advantage of the best new technologies.
Serve as the technical expert for plant or operating facility in the fields of process automation and control system, networking and systems and provide consultation and maintenance support. Demonstrate good grasp of hardware interfacing and instrumentation techniques, SCADA and DSC, control systems, simulation and control applications, software scripting and/or security configuration. Define or provide guidance for function requirements and specifications, and perform hardware/software selections, final system specification and system design, integration and testing for specific projects.
Take a leading role in investigating, root-causing, and resolving availability, performance and security issues in the plant networks and systems and ensure that all problems are resolved in a timely manner.
Act as a focal point of contact for plants networks and systems security compliance assessment and be responsible for resolving and closing all compliance items.
Continuously evaluate existing plant networks and systems for reliability, effectiveness and compliance with the Company’s engineering standards and procedures.
Manage and maintain automation network firewalls between the Automation Network and the Process Control, DMZ and corporate Networks.
Take a leading role to ensure that assigned contractors meet quality cost and schedule targets. Oversee and evaluate proof concept demonstrations of new industrial networks technologies in the plant. Develop detailed project scope, cost estimates and benefits to justify plant networks, systems, and security projects.
