Position Description:
The core function of the Strategy & Market Analysis (S&MA) Organization is to advise the Company’s management and guide the efforts of other departments within the Company regarding energy market outlooks, economic evaluations, macroeconomic outlook, and international energy policies and regulations. S&MA also assists other business lines with strategy formulation and business planning. S&MA serves as the center of expertise on the application of economic principles and assumptions to business issues throughout the Company. S&MA is seeking an experienced Sustainability Reporting Analyst to join the Company’s climate and sustainability function.
The analyst will be responsible for coordinating and reporting sustainability related activities. This will include aligning the Company’s sustainability reporting requirements with industry best practices in terms of framework, data collection, and assurance to ensure meeting the Company’s sustainability reporting targets and ambitions. This will require collaboration and coordination with a wide range of internal stakeholders to understand the Company’s sustainability report design, policies, initiatives, and performance. The analyst must have a proven track record of producing high-value sustainability reports, covering the three domains of sustainability, including Environmental, Social, and Governance, and ideally with a focus on the oil and gas industry.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree is highly desirable.
At least 7 years of sustainability reporting related experience.
Deep understanding of sustainability trends, latest energy industry trends, and strategies, and enabling technologies.
Familiar with key sustainability and ESG rating agencies, their rating frameworks, and databases.
Capable of dealing with a large volume of quantitative data and qualitative information to tailor and relate to sustainability narratives.
Understanding of sustainability standards, guidelines, and frameworks such as IPIECA, TCFD, GRI, SASB, UNGC, CDP, etc., as well as expectations of the Oil & Gas Industry.
Expert in technical sustainability data, calculation and collection methodologies, materiality assessment, and limitations.
Pleasant personality to effectively interact with organizations within the Company, including senior management.
Skillful in Microsoft Office applications.
Experienced in developing market research and business cases for new strategies.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Self-motivated and autonomous with a can-do attitude. Skilled at prioritization and multitasking with strong attention to detail. 
Able to work effectively within small teams, with minimum supervision and on occasionally less structured tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Identify and track the latest trends in sustainability reporting regulations, best practices, frameworks, and standards.
Assess the organization’s current sustainability performance, and identify and prioritize the organization’s key sustainability issues as part of the materiality analysis.
Form a network of relationships within external organizations to support sustainability efforts.
Ensure appropriate internal controls and measurement systems are in place to support and maintain sustainability reporting integrity and assurance.
Participate the drafting of sustainability related insights, whitepapers, and external reports.
Monitor the latest trends from ESG rating agencies and recommend courses of action to improve scores and address gaps.
Assist with drafting the Company’s strategic positions and narratives related to climate and sustainability.
Develop briefs to update senior management regarding emerging sustainability topics in the industry and their implications on the company as well as sustainability domain.
Provide mentoring and coaching for less experienced analysts and professional staff.
